The FADER is a New York-based music magazine showcasing emerging artists in the fields of music, style, and culture. It has an uncanny ability for discovering top artists and delivering insightful stories that come from intimate, behind-the-scenes access.
We worked with The FADER to create a cohesive branding system across their platforms (magazine, video, and website). We redrew their logo and developed a system of rules to unify the brand. Additionally, we collaborated with the editorial staff on a complete redesign of the magazine, which included restructuring core sections. Through an aggressive use of color and typography, the design made the content more consumable, the photography more vivid, and took advantage of the printed medium.
