3rd & Mission
We designed the identity, book and website for a journal published by the curators at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. The journal is an amalgamation of critical and creative writing at the intersection of the arts and culture scene of the Bay Area (literally; 3rd & Mission are the cross streets of YBCA). Drawing on these local roots, the visual identity is based on the vernacular street signage of San Francisco. The homepage features a graphic interpretation of the current weather at 3rd & Mission. Naturally, it’s foggy most of the time.
